The hiking club went to Norman Wilder Forest. The date was October 26th on a Wednesday. We went with Pam from the Pacolet Area Conservancy. I asked Pam about a weird, spiky tree. Pam said it was a Devils’ Walking Stick. We also saw another spiky thing, it was chestnut seed pod. Maybe on my next hike I will find more spiky things.
