Snakes and Turkeys and Salamanders; Oh My!

The latest exploration for the Nature Navigators, the PCMS hiking club, was at Laura Baird’s private property in Sunny View. The intrepid hikers got wet and wild investigating a creek. They caught 1 amphibian, a salamander, and many invertebrates such as a crawdad and lots of snails. They also got to meet some fantastic vertebrates! Laura’s 3 cats and dog hiked with them to the creek. They also met a pet corn-snake, chicken and turkey. One hiker had one of his dreams come true as he finally got to hug a turkey!
